Directions and Parking
This year 2018 the Asian Festival Dragon Boat Race returns to the west bank of the Scioto River between the West Rich St. and West Main St. bridges. With construction of the COSI garage completed, there is ample parking (paid) for visitors nearby. If you can get to COSI, you can get to the Dragon Boat Race!

Metered parking is free on Sundays. Apart from parking lots and garages around COSI, other options are on the east side of the Scioto River. Here is an interactive map for parking in the Downtown district; alternatively, here is another useful one.
Hopper Carts is excited about the Dragon Boat race, and equally excited to offer you FREE RIDES. They are offering rides to and from your parking spot near the Dragon Boat race. Please be on the lookout for Hopper Carts in and around suitable parking areas. They will be offering free rides between 10:30am to 5:00pm on race day.
- Downloading the Hopper app on your Android phone. Unfortunately, the iPhone app is not available yet.
- Look for large-sized Golf Carts covered in a wrap with advertisements such as Byers, Columbus Arts Festival, and others. All you need to do is wave them down if you want to stop them and they will give you a ride. It is up to you to tip the driver for their service.
Hopper carts is an eco-friendly, 100% electric transportation option that operates seven days a week in the downtown Columbus area. They are thrilled to be a part of the Dragon Boat races! Please remember, their drivers are compensated solely on tips. Please show them your appreciation.
CoGo Bike Share
The bike sharing service CoGo has several stations on both sides of the Scioto River. The one right by COSI is at the corner of W. Broad and Washington Blvd.
The Columbus Ohio Transportation Authority (COTA) runs several bus routes near the race.
The Downtown Circulator bus, or #Catch the CBUS, offers FREE RIDES from one end of High St. at the Brewery District to the other end near the Italian Village. Visitors can get off at the intersection of High St. and Broad at the Ohio State House and cross the bridge westward towards COSI.
